Getting to the Wedding

Location of the wedding: Forcalquier, Provence

Closest Airport: Marseille Airport 

Closest TGV train station: Aix en Provence TGV

Important: 

If choosing to fly into Marseille airport, the airport is located in Marignane (outside of Marseille).There are many rental agencies located at the airport. We would recommend renting a car at one of the airport rental agencies otherwise you will need to get a bus or taxi into the center of Marseille. It is a 1 hour and 20 min drive from Marseille to Forcalquier.

Traveling from the USA 

Option 1 

You can fly directly to Paris Charles de Gaulle and get the TGV from the airport to Aix En Provence TGV station. The TGV station at the airport is located in Terminal 2. (Paris Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport TGV Station —-> Aix-en-Provence TGV)

If you would like to visit Paris after flying in from the US before coming to Provence, you can also get a TGV train directly from Paris Gare de Lyon to Aix En Provence TGV station. 

The train takes about 3 hours. It is a 45 min drive to Forcalquier from Aix en Provence TGV station. There are many car rental agencies located at Aix en Provence TGV station.

Option 2

Unfortunately there are no direct flights to Marseille Airport from the US but you can get a connecting flight to Marseille and rent a car at the airport. 

Option 3 

You can fly directly to Nice airport from some airports on the East coast  (Newark airport/JFK airport/ Philadelphia Airport). From Nice airport you can rent a car. It takes approximately 2 hours 45 mins to get to Forcalquier from Nice airport. 

Traveling from Europe

There are many direct flights to Marseille airport from London, Paris, Barcelona, and many other cities. Once you arrive at Marseille Airport, there are lots of car rental agencies located at the airport. It is a 1 hour and 20 min drive from Marseille to Forcalquier.

If traveling from Paris, the quickest option is to take the TGV from Paris Gare de Lyon to Aix-en-Provence TGV.
